Volt is immediately hiring for a Maintenance Helpers in Cerritos, CA. $20-25/hr.

As a Maintenance Helpey you will:

Must have hands-on experience and understand technical building facilities and related equipment, with emphasis on electrical switchgear
Install, troubleshoot, repair and test electrical circuits up to 480VAC 3 phase for all new incoming and existing equipment as well as support the electrical needs for new develop test cells, operation and the facility
Assist with disconnecting, dismantling, labeling, and preparing machinery and production systems for transport.
Follow instructions from maintenance technicians and engineers to safely handle mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
Load and unload heavy equipment, tools, and materials using manual and powered equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, carts).
Ensure items are securely packaged and fastened for safe transport.
Clean vacated areas, remove debris, and perform basic repairs to restore the facility.
Assist with decommissioning of non-essential infrastructure as directed.
Comply with all OSHA standards and company safety practices, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE usage, and safe lifting techniques.
Maintain awareness of moving equipment and hazardous environments.
Keep tools and materials organized and properly stored.
Inspect and clean tools after use; report damaged or missing equipment.
Support minor repairs, facility upkeep, and other tasks as assigned during nonmove periods or downtime.

This is a full time opportunity. 8 hours per day.

The ideal candidate will have:

High school diploma or GED required.

3+ year of experience in maintenance, construction, warehouse, or manufacturing preferred.

Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems is a plus.

Forklift certification is preferred.

Pay Rate: $20-$35 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
