Job DescriptionDesert Serenity Adult Residential Facility, LLC in Cathedral City, CA is looking for one direct support professional-ARF to join our 8 person strong team. We are located on 68340 Encinitas Road. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, and reliable.Direct Support Professional (DSP) Job Summary We are looking for a responsible, caring, and compassionate direct support professional (DSP) to join our growing team. The ideal job candidate will be highly dependable and have a passion for helping those with physical and/or mental disabilities live a more fulfilled and happy life.WORKING WITH INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DISABILITIES:ResponsibilitiesAble and willing to lift, bend, walk, move about, turn and stand for lengthy periods of time. Able and willing to cook, clean, and assist consumers with daily living skills. Able to read, write, and speak English for communication with direct support professionals and consumer. Able and willing to work all shifts/days. Must be familiar in working with consumers with developmental disability. Must be able to establish good relationships with consumers, co-workers, and families. Be able to communicate with consumers utilizing verbal, sign language/home signs or other communication system specific to consumers.QualificationsMust be 18 years of age. Able and willing to obtain finger print clearance from D.O.J/ F.B.I. prior to working with the consumers. Have a valid Drivers License and be able and willing to transport consumer, as needed, and maintain and have current insurance. Must maintain current certification of CPR (including training of abdominal thrust technique) and First Aid Able and willing to attend all training courses required by Desert Serenity ARF, Inland Regional Center and Community Care Licensing in relation to providing care and services to persons with development disabilities in an Adult Residential Facility.
