Job Description Job Description Estate Planning Associate Attorney Needed for Fast Growing Southern California Law Firm We're a boutique Trusts & Estates law firm with offices in Carlsbad and Laguna Niguel. We've grown significantly over the last several years and expect this trend to continue in our quest to double our practice in the next three years, so we need to add our next rock star attorney to our team. Experience in the areas of Estate Planning and Trust Administration is preferred. Our new attorney also needs to possess the ability to engage with clients directly, be able to work independently as well as part of a team and be very organized with a high attention to detail. We need our new attorney to primarily work from our Carlsbad office but be willing to work from our Laguna Niguel office as needed. The perfect person for this position should also be extremely dependable, professional and be growth minded. Our pay range largely depends upon the level of experience of our ideal California bar licensed candidate which is between $90,000 to $130,000 to start with a possible alternative base plus bonus pay structure for those who are more entrepreneurial in nature. We would like our new associate to work full-time as an exempt employee with the benefits listed below starting after a three-month probationary period. Profit-Sharing Plan Here's a more detailed description of what our new Associate Attorney will be doing: • Conducting estate planning client appointments • Preparing and double-checking the estate planning documents • Preparing documents related to Trust Administration after a client has passed • Meeting with Trust Administration clients during their signing appointments to execute the necessary paperwork to administer the trust • Tracking and following up on existing Trust Administration cases to move the cases along and provide legal advice to Trustee clients • Fielding questions from clients regarding their Estate Planning or Trust Administration cases • Assisting the other attorneys in the Trust Administration department with management of the existing cases • Occasional assistance on Probate matters If you are looking for your forever home and are a person with a “growth” mindset, are great with people, and are always looking to challenge yourself in a fun and interesting environment, well then you are in the right place!
