Job Description:
A company is looking for a Claims Counsel to serve as a
technical resource within the Claims Organization.
Key Responsibilities
Provide support to Claims Management by assisting with coverage
issues and claims matters
Review and analyze insurance policies to determine coverage and
liability issues, issuing coverage opinions as needed
Manage coverage-related litigation and conduct ongoing legal
research on coverage issues
Required Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance coverage law,
preferably with a focus on auto insurance
Admission to a state bar
In-depth understanding of insurance coverage principles and
litigation procedures
Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the insurance
industry
