JFK Memorial Hospital has provided medical care to residents in the Coachella Valley since 1966. A group of physicians, including Dr. Reynaldo Carreon, founded the hospital and today one of JFKs cross streets is named in his honor. Position Description:

• 
  
• The OR Charge Nurse performs the clinical role of a RN III in the care of the patient undergoing surgery and/or anesthesia.
  
• This position assumes a leadership role for daily unit operations and assists with hiring and training of staff.
  
• They supervises and evaluates staff performance and maintain staffing levels to ensure budget goals and meet patient needs.
  
• The position ensures necessary equipment and supplies are available at all times and develops and implements performance improvement projects to improve patient outcomes.
  
• In addition, functions as a role model and mentor to other employees and serves as a liaison between patients, staff and physician's.
  
  Charge Nurse (Registered Nurse) OR Full-time Rotate Requirements:
  
  • 
    
  • California RN License
    
  • Successful mastery of nursing skills and knowledge related to a RN III position in Surgical Services.
    
  • Previous experience or demonstrated skills in leadership and management
    
  • PeriOp 101
    
  • Basic Computer skills.
    
  • CNOR preferred
    
  • BLS w/ the American Heart Association

    Pay Range: $47.33 - $73.34
