We are seeking an affordable housing, Regional Property Manager to lead our growth in the Low Desert area of Southern California covering Perris to Blythe. -Reporting directly to the head of operations, this role will begin with 7 properties and over 600 units. -Your initial focus will be integrating the existing property teams into the company and building relationships with the property owners. - -You are joining an innovative and caring company that property owners and investors appreciate because we listen to needs and find resolutions, tapping into our team's breadth of expertise in the growing and evolving models of permanent supportive and affordable housing. -Our owners rely on our management expertise including affordable, tax credit, Sec 8 and USDA Rural Development to ensure a quality living experience, effective problem solving, diligent asset management, and efficient compliance. -Your activity will be supported in collaboration with an experienced team in HR, compliance, project management, technology, and finance. -We believe in the power of team and technology and have made significant investments to enhance our services, safety, and efficiency, to impact the quality of resident's living experience and long-term viability of the properties. -As a leader you will be a role model and a coach to help build and evolve our learning culture and demonstrate our values of trust, integrity, being of service, respecting all, developing our people, and considering each team members well-being. -Performance Objectives: - - - - - - - - -Effectively manage the take over of 7 properties early 2022. The top priority will be to ensure all key roles are filled and that the property managers and supporting roles are trained and on task. - - - - - - - - -Develop a strong working relationship with the new owners and set up regular communication and reporting expectations. It will be key to provide expert guidance while addressing needs and problems in this newly acquired portfolio. - - - - - - - - -Establish the goals with your direct reports for their properties and their personal development. Establish a weekly cadence of reporting, accountability, and coaching. - - - - - - - - -Maintain weekly reporting and updates for the head of operations to engage her support and coaching if needed, and to keep her informed of progress or issues. - - - - - - - - -Proactively engage internal resources and service providers and determine the best way to utilize and integrate their support with your team. Build relationships with compliance, HR, Accounting, HR, IT, and construction project management. - - - - - - - - -Provide monthly reviews with owners which includes review of monthly financial reports and variance analysis from each location. Ensure that issues are being addressed with proactive plans or resolutions; future needs and opportunities are being considered for enhancements; and recommendations are being developed to present to owners. - - - - - - - - -Regularly visit all properties to provide a second set of eyes to identify issues or opportunities, check on capital project progress, complete site inspection reports, check in, and celebrate wins. - - - - - - - - -Collaborate with the compliance team to ensure that your team members are trained and accountable to effectively meet compliance requirements for reporting, records management, and following proper process. - - - - - - - - -Role model and coach for the behaviors that focus on care, candor, accountability, and reliability. - - - - - - - - -Create a team culture to ensure your location employees feel like they belong. Develop a cadence of regular team calls (MS Teams) and occasional in person get togethers. - - - - - - - - -Support and encourage peer Regional Managers throughout Southern California to ensure everyone is successful. - - - - - - - - -Support and coach your team, have fun, and create exceptional living experiences and quality living spaces for your residents. -QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education and/or Experience -Bachelor's degree (B. A) from four-year college or university preferred and/or related experience.
  • Significant management experience with Affordable, Tax Credit, Sec 8, USDA Rural Development, and/or HUD required.
  • Ability to travel to properties and work remote approximately 75% of your time, plus work from home with regular head office visits.
  • Valid Driver's License and Current automobile insurance
